Inspired by A Fanciful Twist

Here is a girl inspired by the creative Vanessa of A Fanciful Twist and her wonderful dolls
There is so much wonderful, magical art on the web and sometimes I just have to imbibe it deeper than a mere look. Drawing from someone's else's creation is a way to enter more deeply inside it, and meant only as an exploration not a theft. The drawing will stay in my art journal.

How would you feel about someone drawing from your creation? (Vanessa was okay with me creating this drawing).

Your drawings are always so beautiful. Anne Shirley of Green Gables says, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". :)

I would consider it a compliment as Suzi Blu-zi does... But so many are so scared and precious... Perhaps because they are insecure about their own artistic abilities? I believe all art is recycled anyway and besides all the old masters had masters that they 'copied from' to learn and then moved on into their own style... I once had a woman SCREAM at me at an art fair because she thought l was 'copying' her 'art'... I was merely taking a note of the way she had displayed some fabric to use the idea for a school fete (to raise money for my children's school-I do it every year) Anyway she didn't think my explanation was truthful and kept right on SCREAMING at me... EVERYONE was shocked (as well as me) and it later caused me to cry to think that someone would think that of me as l would never do such a think with that kind of intention... Anyway eventually l figured that it was HER problem and figured most people that day were too busy staring at her to notice my humiliation... Sad though eh?

I do have writer friends that I have not shared my blog entries with as they have told me outright that anything I might say the will possibly steal to use in their writing, and they are making a living at it, lol.

Not sure where that fits in all this, sad but true!
