When artists talk about that what is important is the process, all we mean is that something happens when you are making stuff, regardless of how what you makes turns out. This is part of the magic of creating, and can be missed if you are just paying attention to if what you are making is 'good enough'. In our culture there is such an emphasis on the final product, it is easy to miss that the actual doing will heal and nourish you whatever the final object looks like.

Totally. You only have to watch a group of kids with a box of crayons to remind yourself just how important process is.
the process is everything. we would be too bored to do *anything* if we didn't love the process. it's the process that pulls us along... xo (i've been thinking about this ; )
i like how you talk about art
In the moments of the process is where the magic happens
As a newbie art journaller, I am telling myself this all the time! Thanks for reinforcing that :) I am loving the process!
I so agree! In the process I find a "connection" the finished piece is the end result of that ... and that is great, but it is the connection that I am always seeking...
Great post and fabulous AJ page, Zom!
