I drew the woman on the right page first, and later I drew the woman on the left page with the bow and arrow. It wasn't until I was finished and drew in the little line of grass that they came together as a single picture and I kind of went 'oh'. I felt kind of bad that the one woman was threatening the other.

Both are beautiful, but I love the strength of the archer. Looks like she is aiming for something just beyond the other woman, out of our line of sight :-)
They have a wonderful medieval feel
I thought she was protecting her....
Your wonderful strong archer makes me think of Arya (I am deep in book II of George RR Martin's saga).
I love it … there's a powerful (and potentially loving) metaphor in there. :)
PS ~ so nice to reconnect. It's been too long. Shame on me. ♡
Ah the yin and yang, the duality, the balance! Wonderful! :)
I like you guys' interpretations. That the archer is aiming for something beyond our sight (Bren) and that she is protecting the other woman. I think you are right! Because the woman in the dress doesn't look frightened.
I think drawing can be like dreaming. I often don't know consciously what it means.
Rose, I agree, it is lovely to reconnect.
Thanks Sus and Jeni.
Dreams are now visible with the power of your sketch. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
